The Church is a Family. Membership means you belong here. We can’t wait to welcome you into our family.

Membership is a vital part of who we are. We believe there is deep value in committing yourself to a local body of believers centered on the Gospel. It's our way of walking together in mission, vision, and faithful obedience to what God has called us to.

Your first step is attending the Discover Ember class, held several times a year. There you'll walk through our church history, learn who we are and what we believe, and find your place as an active partner at Ember.

Frequently asked questions

The Membership Class is for those who are new to Ember Church, looking to get plugged into Ember and seeking membership.

You should expect to meet some new friendly faces!  Our staff team will be available to greet you and answer any questions you may have right off the bat. You’ll receive a name tag and be seated with other class attendees.

Membership says: “I’m in!” Choosing to become a member at Ember Church means you are committed to living out our mission and values as a part of this body of believers. Members are committed to healthy rhythms that will help them thrive. These rhythms include: receiving & rejoicing in the Gospel; learning Scripture; following Jesus;  giving and serving the church family; and sharing Jesus with our neighbors and the nations.

We truly believe that every believer should be a member of a local church. If Ember isn’t the church you would like to commit to, we want to encourage you to find the church you can call home. If you have more questions before committing, we would love to answer those and talk more about membership.

No, once you have been baptized by immersion as a believer there is no need to do it again! On your membership application, we will ask you if you’ve been baptized, and you can tell us that you have been baptized at another church.

Yes! If you need more time to take the step of membership, we hope you will continue to gather with us on Sundays, participate in a discipleship space, and grow in community. But, we hope that these steps will ultimately lead you to becoming a member at Ember Church.
